FRC students at the Community Garden In Fall 2021, the Franklin Residential College added a Sustainability Chair to the existing student-elected FRC Executive Board structure. Like other positions on the Executive Board, this position requires an academic year commitment from the student leader, and successful completion meets the UGA Experiential Learning requirement for Franklin College majors. Sustainability Chair responsibilities include 15-20 hours of work per month in the following areas: compost collection & bin management in Rutherford Hall, meetings with University Housing EcoReps and Sustainable Housing Coordinator, FRC Community Garden site management, and collaborating with the rest of the FRC Executive Board to host programs from a sustainable mindset. Executive Board elections typically take place at the beginning of each academic year, and all details shared with members via the FRC listserv, social media, and eLC page.
